Join other local cyclists and athletes at the 2017 Tour of 10 Bridges. The noncompetitive bicycle ride is open to all ages and abilities. Distances available: 28 or 14 miles and a kids' ride. All distances cross 3 to 10 historic single lane stone bridges. Washington County is unique in Maryland, because nowhere else can one find so many early to mid 19th-century limestone arch bridges, along with several stone arch aqueducts. Accomodations: the closest hotels and motels are located in Hagerstown, MD or Frederick, MD

 

Parking: free parking available at Shafer Park (9 Park Ln Boonsboro, MD 21713)

 

Start times: 9am (28 and 14 miles); 11am (kids' ride)

 

Course description: the roads are open to traffic and you will have to obey all local, county and state traffic laws and regulations. The kids' ride is closed to traffic. Event held rain or shine unless there's snow or ice on the roadways. The routes are beginner friendly but they are not completely flat - expect gently rolling hills. Cue sheets will be posted 2 weeks before the ride.

Fees: $20 to $30 (depending on your distance). Kids' ride is FREE. Included in your fee: pre and post ride snacks, lunch after your ride, well marked course, SAG vehicles and aid station(s). Event t-shirts can be purchased for an additional $20.

 

Packet Pickup: 8:00 am to 9:00 am on event day at Shafer Park

 

Refund Policy: Requests emailed before 3/17/17 will receive a full refund (except processing fee charged by active.com). Requests emailed before 4/7/17 will receive a 25% refund. ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS AFTER 4/7/17. Active.com processing fees are non-refundable.

 

Cancellation Policy: Move Boonsboro, State of Maryland and all local government agencies reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event for safety concerns, both natural and man-made.

 

Rain date: Event will happen rain or shine. If cancellation or postponement is necessary we will make the decision on Saturday, April 15, 2017 by 8:00 am (you’ll receive an email notice).

 

What else to do: after the ride enjoy everything Boonsboro has to offer (shopping, dining, museums); Antietam Battlefield, Shepherdstown, Harpers Ferry are a very short drive away.
