Join us for the one of the newest cycling events in Frederick and Washington counties! We're redoing the previous Ice Cream Century - the weather was awful, the course support was terrible and we decided to try it again. Try the event again and if you don't like for ANY (valid) reason we'll refund your entire registration fee immediately.

 

Ride along parts of Maryland's Best Ice Cream Trail - enjoy a great day of cycling and ice cream at some of the best local creameries and ice cream shops: Misty Meadows Creamery, Rocky Point Creamery, Nutter's Ice Cream, More Ice Cream, Potomac Street Creamery and The Little Red Barn Ice Cream Cafe!

Accomodations: the closest hotels and motels are located in Hagerstown, MD or Frederick, MD

 

Parking: free parking available at Shafer Park (9 Park Ln Boonsboro, MD 21713)

 

Start Times: 12pm - 93 miler, 2pm - 65 miler and 5pm - 14 miler

 

Course Description: All routes are extremely hilly and challenging (not beginner friendly). The 14 miler is the easiest but it's still not recommended to absolute beginners and/or out of shape folks. Please make sure you're familiar with the route and elevation profile before you register for a certain distance. The roads are open to traffic and you're required to follow and obey all traffic laws and regulations. The roads are paved and in good shape. Most areas have bike lanes or wide shoulders. Majority of the routes use secondary roads ("backroads") with minimal vehicular traffic. Routes are subject to minor change. Cue sheets will be posted 2 weeks before the ride.

Fees: $30 to $50 (depends on your distance and date of registration. Your registration includes:

 

•     FREE ICE CREAM at all participating creameries and ice cream shops

•     outstanding course on well maintained roads

•     course support (SAG, aid station(s))

•     finishline with food, music, activities...

•     goody bag

•     free food after the event

•     event t-shirts can be purchased for an additional $20.

 

Packet Pickup: starting at 11am at Shafer Park (start location). You can also register at packet pickup (on event day).

 

Refund Policy: Full refund for ANY VALID (we're not responsible for the weather and the difficulty of the route) reason as long as you show up at the start and ride. Full refunds offered if you can't ride and you request a refund by August 10, 2016. Active.com processing fees are non-refundable.

 

Cancellation Policy: Move Boonsboro, State of Maryland and all local government agencies reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event for safety concerns, both natural and man-made.

 

What else to do: after the ride enjoy everything Boonsboro has to offer (shopping, dining, museums); Antietam Battlefield, Shepherdstown, Harpers Ferry are a very short drive away.
